Thelma at the iconostasis of Isaakievskiy Cathedral, St.Petersburg, 2004

Thelma is looking at the exquisite columns of the altar area in Saint Isaac's Cathedral. Eight giant green columns made of Russian malachite and two of semi-precious lapis lazuli grace the iconostasis of this gold-domed, Russian Orthodox cathedral. They stand out dramatically against the white marble and gold leaf that cover the wall. (2004)
