Thelma on one of our day excursions - 1 Sept 2013

From László on 9th May 2022 Thelma on one of our day excursions - 1 Sept 2013

One of my favourite pictures of Thelma. It demonstrates why I found her so huggable. It's all that love in her face. This picture visually reflects very well that she was playful, funny, cheeky in a gentle feminine way, quick-witted (she regularly made me laugh at my own stupidity) - not the agressive crude British battleaxe. At different times we were members of English Heritage and the National Trust, and we visited many of their properties and sites in many places of the country. Thelma was mainly the one who researched what was available and then we discussed which one to go to. This picture, I think, was taken at Bateman's (was the home of Rudyard Kipling).
