Our visit to Carlisle Castle was connected to our following Jacobite history (many Jacobites were imprisoned here), Hadrian's Wall and Carlisle being the "great border city" - therefore, its closeness to Gretna Green, where I definitely wanted to take my loved one (although, we had "eloped" long before - see the Gretna Green video clip too) ...
