In "Taltsy" [Тальцы] near Irkutsk, in an "ostrog" (old-style Russian stockade, frontier fort, the Russian equivalent of a 19th c. US fort like the American Fort Laramie) they sang us a Russian "folk spiritual / sacral song" ("Грешный человек" - "Sinner Man"), which you can hear under the "Music" category. In this picture (taken by our Russian guide for us), Thelma is holding up one of the CDs I bought from them, and which contains this song too. We both enjoyed Russian church choirs elsewhere too (Moscow Kremlin, St.Petersburg) in different years.
