From László on 2nd October 2022 us outside Uspenskiy Cathedral in the Kreml(in) of Moscow, 2004

Успенский собор - Cathedral of the Assumption ("Dormition" / the "falling asleep" - death - of the Mother of God, Mary and her assumption to heaven. It is a Russian Orthodox church on the north side of Cathedral Square of the Moscow Kreml(in) constructed in the 15th century by an Italian architect at the behest of Ivan III (Ivan the Great). Like other Russian churches after the Soviet period, it is mostly used as a museum, but occasionally they have religious services too. It is regarded as the mother church of Russia. We went in to see its famous icons, and to listen to a Russian church choir.
