our very last holiday snap together - on Mount Etna, September 2019

Our trip to Catania, Sicily wasn't the most trouble-free by far, but despite everything, it was wonderful to be together with my dear Thelma. This is our very last holiday picture ever. Soon, the Covid pandemic started; next year Thelma was preoccupied with her family and mother, who died in 2020 as a result of an avoidable home accident. Then, soon after, at the beginning of 2021, Thelma's illness started to manifest itself, and 2021 was the terrible tragic year.
