these are the tulips next to our bench, which expect us every spring

On our walks we always had a little rest here, opposite St.Mary's Church near Westminster Fields, and chatted on this bench before carrying on homewards. It was nearly always this bench we chose, especially in early April when these tulips had faithfully reappeared and revealed their lovely colour. I still sit here on my walks, and together with these tulips we silently remember my sweet Thelma. This picture was taken on 13 April 2022 - a year before which the first bad news was emerging.
