Didmarton Bluegrass Festival logo

In the last few years we made a habit of going every year to the Didmarton Bluegrass Festival in Gloucestershire. It is the most authentic bluegrass event in Britain, and we liked its atmosphere, its organization, and the music, of course. Thelma had found a very pleasant, well-located and cheap Travelodge about half an hour's drive from the festival site. We really enjoyed each stay. The last such occasion was at the end of August, 2019 - less than half a year before the Covid pandemic struck, and two years before our tragedy. This was possibly the very last trip that we both enjoyed together. In Didmarton we were together every minute. Among the videos you can see a clip I compiled of Thelma's very short appearances in the video of this trip (she always tried to escape being filmed). Unfortunately, it is mostly showing her from the back, but I recognized her lovely shape in any position anywhere. I wish I had been able to take more footage of her, because now the memories are not really connected with the music, but with the then maybe not sufficiently appreciated time I had with my most loved one. (Her VW features at the beginning, with which we had driven to many places in Britain.)
