the snowdrops remember us walking past together

From László on 8th February 2022 the snowdrops remember us walking past together

My dear Thelma suggested to me a few years ago that I could do my 'constitutionals' around the nearby fields and paths (I need to walk for health reasons). For a while she regularly accompanied me, and at certain times of the year, different patches of wild and escaped garden flowers greeted us along the way, which became familiar landmarks on our joint walks. The earliest harbingers of spring were snowdrops that met us by the side of the path opposite St Mary the Virgin church along Horton Rd, near Westminster Fields. Last time she came with me was at the beginning of 2021 just as the first snowdrops were emerging. Now, a year later, the snowdrops were out again, but my darling wife was not with me anymore to enjoy them, nor was she waiting for me at home. But I like to think that these snowdrops I photographed in February 2022 remember us walking past them together at their rebirth.
