She dissuaded me with her gentle calming sensibility (which radiates from her lovely smile here too) from totally cancelling our trip on the Trans-Siberian Express when I got fed up with the still Soviet-style officialdom while sorting our documents. Eventually, the Russians proved her right - they were all pleasant to us everywhere.
