Thelma standing in the much hyped "Blue Lagoon"

The Blue Lagoon is a geothermal spa near Keflavík Airport in southwestern Iceland. The spa is located in a lava field on the Reykjanes Peninsula. It is supplied from the run-off water of the nearby Svartsengi geothermal power station. It is probably the most hyped attraction in Iceland. So, we couldn't leave it out. The water was deceptively warm, and we didn't notice somehow that the air just a metre or so above the water surface was below -10°. Needless to say, we both caught a nasty cold, which we nursed for at least a week back at home. See the short video clip of Thelma paddling in the Blue Lagoon.
