by the mighty River Ob (Обь) in Novosibirsk (Новосибирск)

We went on a boat cruise on the still swollen Ob, which - together with the Irtysh - forms the world's seventh-longest river system. It is just unthinkable - this was so recently. 2019 is like yesterday, followed only by a year of Covid hysteria and then a year of terrible illness. I remember every moment there, as we strolled in the hot weather along the river chatting about things. How can one "move on" after such memories?
