She was always very conscious of her curly hair, but I loved it. Her pre-Raffaelite beauty - in addition to her wonderful soul and heart (and green eyes) - totally captivated me. One goes through various valuable relationships over life, but there is always a most treasured one. Thelma was that exceptional precious jewel in my life, even though we met when we were already on the threshold of our fifties following failed marriages years before.
